Created to assist trans folks in Kitsap County with the cost of legally changing their name/gender marker through the court system. For those who aren’t aware, the cost of this is $287.50 per person. Though there is a waiver application, people are often denied for financial assistance which is where this grant steps in. We are working with volunteer attorneys who are in the process of creating a name change clinic here in Kitsap to make this process a little less overwhelming for trans folks in our community.
